Man Down - Student Group

Niall

While I was away in London, Man Down Falmouth decided to give a student group a go. Unfortunately, partly due to lack of promotion, not a single soul turned up. This is unsurprising to me, as students are the demographic of people that are the most unlikely to actually talk about their problems. Deadlines, hormones and general stigma surrounding the subject of men's mental-health are all possible factors that lead to them not being talked about by students. Saying this, as part of my brief, I need to find ways of introducing Man Down to students, and removing the stigma of being silent so that they can understand it is a safe, necessary cause of action that we, as young males, can have access to. A sense of community is essential for anyone.
