The Second Brief

Niall
Intro:

University is an extremely stressful time for most students. Deadlines, hormones, parties, job applications. All of these, stacked upon personal issues, can really take its toll on everyone's mental health. While there are so many resources in the present that help with men's mental health, the stigma that men shouldn't talk about their issues is still very much alive. Along with denial and self-medication through drink and drugs, guys at university simply can't find the time, motivation or opportunities to talk about their mental health. This can continue past university, and ultimately make life so much harder for graduates.

Taking inspiration and support from national services such as the Samaritans, and local services such as Man Down, this brief aims to encourage male students to come together and talk about how their feeling, providing a safe space for support on the matter.

"How Might I ..."

... encourage male students at University to open up about anxiety and depression?

Target Market:

Male Students, aged between 18-25.

Aim:

To create a safe space where male students can gather and talk about their anxiety and depression comfortably and effectively, with the ultimate aim of gradual healing.

Single Message:
